Playing Condition
Your instrument will be fully inspected for damage and playing concerns. You will be provided with an estimate for the recommended repairs. Please be detailed with any concerns if you ship us your instrument so we can be sure to address your concerns. This is a general industry term that can mean a single pad replacement to missing regulation material. Most playing condition services are in the price range of $65 - $125.

Clean, oil, and adjust - (COA)
Regular care and maintenance can significantly prolong the life of your instrument and prevent costly repair bills. COA is an industry term that generally means a complete tear down, cleaning of all moving parts and the body, polishing and reassembly. In most cases, no pads need to be replaced and only a few adjustment corks need to be refreshed to hold the proper regulation. While it appears that a minimal amount of work is done, this is a tedious task that involves carefully cleaning and polishing without damaging materials that are in good condition. While the cost is less than a repad, the same meticulous cleaning process is used. Think of this like getting your car professionally detailed, it feels like new and gives you a sense of pride in the instrument you own.
This service is only recommended for the highest level professional instruments. No need to COA a student line instrument.

Standard Repad - NO Mechanical
Just like a car needs an oil change and a new set of tires now and again, our repad is a regular maintenance service. This is a more affordable option for student and advanced level instruments. It will include complete disassembly, polishing of the keywork, cleaning the body and keys. Removing old pads and adjustment materials and replacing with new, oiling the body if it is wood. We will reassemble, seat the pads, correct spring tensions,adjust for proper playing condition. Tenon corks are an additional cost - see below for any add-ons

Professional Repad - Higher Quality pads and materials - Minor Mechanical
The professional repad includes all aspects of the standard repad. This service is for professional level instruments only. We use cork pads for clarinet and a higher grade leather pad for saxes with custom resonator options. This service will also include key swedging where necessary to remove key play and replacing worn springs. During you consult, be sure to let us know any concerns you want addressed. We can often solve what seem to be small issues you think are just quirks about your instrument.
